HOLEY TOWER Candle Holder | Melting Collection | 180 x 160 x 410 mm
This artfully sculpted candle holder is a testament to innovative reuse, handcrafted from repurposed beam wood and remnants of pristine white stone. With delicate precision, I’ve enhanced the wood using the traditional Japanese Yakisugi method, and it’s then elegantly finished with natural oils and sealed with beeswax.
Beneath, a subtle cork lining ensures your surfaces remain pristine.
Erosion Collection
N1 Chair – Erosion Collection | 450 x 460 x 830 mm
This distinctive dining chair, originating from a mid-century design, is reimagined using real wood. The chair has been artistically charred with the Yakisugi technique and features hand-carved detailing. For added comfort, it’s been lined with a thin layer of cork. Its final touch is a finish of natural oil and beeswax.
Vision
For me, to create is to search. I strive to design in a way that does not harm my environment. The moment, the given object and its potential are always the leading force. This is also the main philosophy of gobi.design - the brand aims to combine environmental thinking with a love of design. My vision is for everyone to receive the gifts of a healthy environment on an equal footing, which will then lead to sustainable daily living. This task is both a gift and a huge responsibility, but this is the way how change can be achieved.
